Head out to the great outdoors with this rugged, nicely affordable, classically styled Timex Expedition men's resin watch (model 49101). It features a full-sized, round watch case in olive with a rounded, slightly raised bezel that frames an ivory dial. It's quickly readable thanks to a large, fully Arabic numeral display, and it also includes small minute indexes, 24-hour markings on the interior, and luminous baton hands (with seconds hand). It also has a date window at 3 o'clock that incorporates Timex's Quick-Date feature with a three-position crown that makes setting the watch quick and easy. Other features include a comfortable green nylon and leather strap with a buckle and water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet).

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

Here is how you remove a timex watch battery latch that does not have a screw. The video is a little dark but when it comes time to take off the latch you get a clear shot of it. Please post your watch model so others can easily find this video. Thank you! A commenter noted that "if you put the backplate on in the wrong orientation, the watch will not beep when it's supposed to. The text should be facing up so that the top of the text is right-side up if you flip it over right to left (as opposed to a coin where text is right side up if you flip bottom to top). Found this one out the hard way." If you are interested in what I used to make it waterproof again, I used a can of silicone spray (like you would get at a car parts store) Put a little bit into a bottle cap and then used a small screwdriver to dip it in the silicone and then dab it around on both sides of the o-ring. I am sure you could probably take the o-ring out and use your fingers or a qtip to spread it as well.
